ALL horses are herd animals, they listen to a leader. One doesn't become a leader through violence and

Rod Rondeaux
Rod was born on the Crow reserve and grew up like many Indian men, involved in the
business of riding horses dawn till dusk and how to have a solid relationship with highly
evolved beings from day one was a necessary trait for a horseman and his horse to
acquire.

Day one was typical of encounters between an 11 year old boy and a healthy young
horse, a story ready to begin, build trust, respect, confidence, and enhance natural ability
in both.
In short build a relationship that allows these two beings to practice the combinations that
let them hunt, fight, day or night, and still retain the will to lay down flat and still till danger
passes.

Lying flat and still is not Rod’s style these days but the blending of the predator and prey,
into a capable unit that can survive and thrive is something Indian men like Rod have
done for five hundred years. We pass this special knowledge along to horses of people
we think will respect this relationship and stand brave in the face of change.
